Value of: Pontus Aberg

Well our idiot coach for some reason is convinced Brian Gibbons brings more to the table and thus Aberg has become a healthy scratch despite leading the team in goals. With Eaves coming back next week he will likely move even further down the depth chart so we might as well trade him before he becomes a wasted asset.

What would you be willing to give up for Aberg who seems to have figured it out this season, posting 11 goals and 8 assists for 19 points in 37 games?

Curious as to how the two are comparable? Aberg is better, a year and a half younger, and is an upcoming RFA whereas Weal will be a UFA.

Gibbons is a UFA to be while Aberg is a RFA we should be trading Gibbons for whatever we can not Aberg.

Gibbons would clear waivers and doesn't appear to be coming out of the lineup any time soon.

Both are essentially waiver fodder. Anaheim really has no reason to move Aberg considering he is a cheap RFA depth forward, but other teams really have no reason to overpay for him. He's still the same streaky scorer who slept through his first practice in Edmonton. Just managed to put up a few points in a cushy situation.

He was producing pretty consistently before our long ass losing streak in which everyone on the team couldn't score.
