My son plays goalie in sled hockey and prefers his blades rather than the goalie runners. Interested in getting a poly/synthetic ice setup for the basement for him to practice.
Question: I know Poly ice sheets are good for protecting pricey sticks from the concrete while taking wristers and slappers. Would the poly ice hold up to his skate blades?
Also, another thread mentioned 1/8" thick HFI Hardboard as being a cheap alternative. Any idea/experience with that holding up to blades?
