I'd say they are both pretty interchangeable with everything except age. If they were the same age I'd probably go Wheeler just because he's American. I think he is more of a complete player too (not a knock on Jake but doesn't Wheeler PK?).

Voracek because he's three years younger, that's literally the only reason why. At their ages (especially Wheeler's), that's pretty significant.

I'd take 3 years younger over 32 extra points. Very tough decision, but when in doubt, youth wins.

I answered Wheeler before considering age... as while Jake is solid on defense Wheeler is good... even if not as good as I think some people think.

They are very similar players though, even if Jake is more dominant when he is "on" both pass first, smooth skating, big bodied guys who use their size well but are not overly physical or physically aggressive.

With age Jake.

Wheeler has fabulous leadership abilities to go along with his skills and skating ability { speed }. I get to watch him a lot and even factoring in age would still take him .

Voted Jake because of age but wouldn't hate having Wheeler in the orange and black either. It's interesting you posted this poll considering the first thing I thought this morning when I saw Wheeler signed was the hemming and hawing on the main board about the Voracek deal at the time.

yep, I agree. I like Jake, but I love Wheelers all around game. he is better in the neutral and defensive zone than Jake and is better away from the puck. add in his leadership qualities and it is a easy choice for me. IMO

Last year Wheeler was 100% better. There is the age argument, but I think Wheeler will age fairly gracefully. I'd probably go with him.
