Still remember reading an article where Tippett's office in AZ was a janitors closet or something and I believe their practice facility was equivalent to the Cary Icehouse, when it was actually frozen. Those are two guys I wouldn't hesitate for a second to move on from Peters for, if we have to cross that bridge.

Frankly I'd take Tippett here in a second, guy is a miracle worker.

Though much like I said with Francis, I want to see what Peters can do for a year or two with a team that's not constrained by being on a budget that's 15M+ below the cap ceiling. If we actually use that space and go out there and boost our lineup with say JVR and O'Reilly, or even with JT and we're still blowing goats then yeah, gotta go.

And I know it doesn't mean much, but Dundon made some very positive comments about Peters in that recent Q&A (less so towards Francis). They both have at least a year of leash unless the rails completely fall off.

The good news, as WTF said in the other thread, is that outside of Philly, none of the other teams are playing well either. One of these teams is going to back in.

That "5 goals in the 3rd period" thing by the Islanders is scary. Man that team's got some offensive weapons.

But they are very questionable on defense even with Boychuk back. And they are pretty bad in goal as well. Plus, you don't get a lot of cheap 5 minute majors like they got they gave them 4 of those goals. Not to mention, they fell down 3-0 in consecutive games against a couple of bad teams. None of that is a recipe for success.

It may come down to who does a better job of addressing weaknesses at the trade deadline. Unfortunately, we may be sitting on the sidelines for that.
