Paquette was beast when he played for Tampa. If he can re-gain that form would love him in the bottom 6. Believe their nickname for him was dumptruck.

Perreault the better offensive player but we already have 7-8 winger ahead of him… Paquette plays a physical game, that is better suited for the 4th line. So I will likely be the first.
I'd rather have Poehling centering our fourth line, he deserves a shot at it at least, he was good in Laval last season almost posting a PPG. Perreault alongside him to create some offense, with a Byron or Lehkonen. Paquette is an insurance policy but Poehling has a lot of potential in my book. Just started weirdly with 4 goals in his first Habs game lol. I hope this organisation shows him they believe in him.

Paquette could be on the wing I would give Poehling a shot at 3rd line C, 4th line C or Lw it is spot to win.

Perrault is the superior player and I think he gets the nod first. Pacquette is a depth/13th forward fill in.

These two guys were acquired for insurance policy.

If Drouin can't play or is traded, Perreault can play LW on a 3rd line like he was in Winnipeg. He could even play center at some point if KK can't handle pressure.

Paquette can play both at C and LW on a 4th line if needed. Evans is possibly one concussion away from a long leave. And Poehling might not be ready.

OR

MB is preparing a trade involving one or many of Drouin, Poehling, Lehkonen ????

You won't get much with those names. Perhaps picks , but with Byon injury wouldnt surprise me we keep everyone like that

So who's coming out of the line-up? Lehkonen? Evans? Armia? Kotkaniemi?

Neither one?

Toffoli-Suzuki- caufield
Hoffman- KK- Anderson
Lehkonen - Evans- Gallagher
Perrault - Paquette - Armia

Is what it looks like right now, pending drouin's situation and byron's injury

Things get even stranger if another center is brought in to boot

I wouldn't count Drouin out that fast..
Also MB might not be done looking for a bottom 9 C which could be better than Paquette. Also knowing Habs brass were ok playing Byron as 4th C(meh...) I wouldn't be surprised if Perreault could even have a slight chance over Paquette.
We'll see.

Big fan of Perreault cause he played junior hockey in my home town and he's a solid 200' player but I voted for Paquette. We need his hitting on our roster. However, I think the gap in value between them is small regardless

They both play different positions. Perrault's days playing center are long over and we're in deep shit if he has to play up the middle. He's an effective bottom 6 winger.

I think Perrault is better but Paquette is more comfortable at centre and at this time is prbly better at it. So for now him, if we pick up another centre I'll change to Perreault.

Me too, I prefer Poehling centering our 3rd or 4th line, with Evans. Paquette would be our 5th C.
