I don't necessarily disagree with those assessments, but I'm curious as to how you arrived at those specific numbers...

the last 3 years there have been only 3 100-point scorers and only 11 90-point scorers, with forsberg's 106 last year being the highest over the 3 years and 94 & 96 points being enough to win the scoring title in the other 2 years...

so how in the world did you come up with those numbers based on 'todays nhl'??

so you are basically saying that based on 'todays nhl' ovechkin would win the scoring title by 21 points and ovechkin, radulov and tukonen would finish 1-2-3 in scoring

wtf are you smoking?

in todays nhl prob non of them get 100 points
ovechkin 50+ goals?

Look at Ilya K and the fantastic year he had. Did he score 50 or get 100 pts

Hey...ceilings. Didn't say any of them would get there, just what they are capable of.

Everyone says that the talent drop off after the 1st 2 picks is pretty steep...but you think there are 4-5 close to 100+ point players in "todays NHL"?

huh.

I'd change Tukonen to 47-33-80. He's a Finnish Keith Tkachuk.

No, I don't. Realistically, I only see 2, maybe 3 ever reaching that. However, many more are capable.
