The defense should indeed be improved next year. I hope they go out and get a good veteran for leadership back there, someone more experienced than Provorov and more manly than Gostisbehere.

They need more toughness up front, as you have mentioned many times before.

Only 8 teams let in less goals at 5v5. You keep complaining about something that wasn't an issue.

As the games got tougher down the stretch, the top guys heated up and carried the team to the playoffs. One playoff series doesn't allow you to ignore all that.
