If we don't count the games already played, my prediction of Flyers winning the series in three games might still come true!!!

I think a lot of people got ahead of themselves this year after we squeaked into the playoffs

I don't think anyone got ahead of themselves.

No team in the NHL should be losing this badly. Getting outscored 10-1 at home, 17-1 in three defeats, and 18-6 overall.

Something needs to be done because something isn't right.

We are a mediocre team that barely got into the playoffs facing the 2x defending Champs that owned us all season. This is a terrible match-up for us either way, especially when Elliot can't even make a save. The only goalie we have that could steal a game, was injured.

The difference is simply talent, and we don't have enough of it to match-up with the Pens.

I had hope until I found up we were facing the Pens (so, for about 2 hours). At that point I accepted our eventual loss, but a lot of people lied to themselves and convinced themselves we could beat them. The win made a lot of people believe that we could do it. Honestly, even I thought there was a possibility that we could do it after the win last Friday. Sunday and last night were brutal reality checks.

I expected to lose the series. But i didn’t expect to get blown out and have our players quit. Underdogs have to scrape and claw to get wins. Flyers were not willing to get dirty goals. Always looking for an extra pass and giving up prime scoring chances because that have no confidence in themselves. They embarrassed the organization from top down to the fans.

they had 2 more points than us this season
if we were playing hard & at least being competitive, like the Devils are vs. Tampa, it would be easier to accept the losses
we look horrific; outcoached, outclassed, outworked, out-everythinged

It doesn't mean you have to get curbstomped like this. There are examples aplenty, even in this playoffs, of this being the case. You can at least scrap away in the games and give it the old college try, which I'd imagine Hakstol to like given his background.

I'm truly shocked that this needs to be said over and over again.

There's no shame in losing to a back-to-back Cup champ.

There is a great shame in getting humiliated and not even looking like a team that plays in the same professional hockey league.

I don't think i've ever seen one playoff team demolish another playoff team like this in my 20+ years of watching hockey.

It's already the first time in NHL history the first 4 games in a playoff series were decided by 4 or more goals. We were on the wrong side of 3 of those. It's probably safe to say, without going back through history, that our 3 losses are the worst in the 101 years of NHL history. I wonder if we can find this out?
