Under Dave Cameron, Karlsson’s minutes have been diminished, and initially we saw a drop in his output and overall play. However, he seems to be buying into this system more and is rewarding himself and the team with better play. He is a character guy, and no doubt can lead by example, at least in terms of hustle and offence. So, as new team captain, Karlsson is taking the right steps in demonstrating what the Ottawa Senators should be capable of moving forward.

What do you think? Is Karlsson’s game too risky, or does he need to be unleashed more? Does his offensive potential eliminate the chance to really becomes a solid two-ended guy?
