*Ugh*

Give him a second chance.

Btw, Roberto Alomar and the ump he spit on became good friends afterwards.

I never mentioned anything about not giving him a second chance. It is what it is. I am willing to bet Hathaway and Gudbranson won't be summering at the cottage together anytime soon.

in a month only the haters and overreactors will even remember this...

In the context of the season sure, but for Hathaway, unless he scores a Cup winning goal, this will be the only thing he is remembered for.

The problem is, it sounds like you don't want to move on. Like he's he's been branded with the mark of Cain. :(

No, not at all. I do think it's naive to think that this isn't gonna follow him with his peers and non-casual opposition fans.

But for me, as I said, it is what it is. I love our 4th line and hope they keep it up.

Meh. His teammates know he was sticking up for them. They respect him.

The opposition won't care. It's not like he pulled a Matt Cooke or Ulfed someone.

It's only the cruddy media that wants to make a big deal out of it.

Anyway, don't mean to be argumentative. You are a good guy.
