Bonds, Mays, Aaron, Musial, Mantle, Henderson, and Williams are shoo-ins.

I went with A-Rod just ahead of Frank Robinson who won an MVP in both leagues, which is cool.

That's a great list. For a hitting only Top 7 I'll take Ruth, Williams, Bonds, Gehrig, Trout, Hornsby, & Mantle.

For a best all around Top 12 I'll take Bonds, Ruth, Mays, Cobb, Aaron, Speaker, Wagner, Musial, Hornsby, Collins, Williams, and A-Rod.

I thought it would be fun to look at the post-1940 players. Thanks for posting, darko.
