Bump Carey Price up from 13 to....let's say #~6-8, a bit undecided.

Rest - stays as is for me.

I'd have Keith in third, zetterberg above Kopitar and the rest probably the same I guess. I don't think that lundqvist should be that high but I also can't fully argue against it.

I probably wouldn't have all these players on my list though.

Ovechkin (over Crosby due to durability. best pure goal scorer of all-time)
Crosby (Would barely be #1 over Ovechkin had he been more durable)
Malkin (not to far off from the top 2. Was overshadowed to much by Crosby)
Kane (best generator of offense of his era. Can score and dish with whoever he played with)
Kopitar (2nd best def forward of his era, only offensive star on his team. Criminally underrated)
Keith (controlled the game in all 3 zones as well as any d-man of his era)
Zetterberg (a wizard in all 3 zones, was to overshadowed by Datsyuk and Lidstrom)
Toews (a bit overrated but still a fantastic two-way center who came up big in big moments)
Bergeron (best defensive forward of his generation, just a pinch below Kopitar, Toews and Zetterberg overall)
Lundqvist (best goaltender of his era, probably deserved better as far as playoff success)
Price (his peak might have been less than Hanks but might have been better
Doughty (when he wanted to he was as good as anyone (playoffs + olympics), had motivation issues)
Weber (modern day Al Macinnis, probably a bit of a drop off with him and Getz vs. the rest of these guys)
Getzlaf (great hall of fame caliber player, wish he had shot the puck more in his prime, great shot he rarely used)

1. Sidney Crosby - 1. Easily Top 3 is standard
2. Alex Ovechkin - Ye 2. Easily
3. Evgeni Malkin - 3. Easily
4. Patrick Kane - score points geeze
5. Patrice Bergeron - Gives me hope for aging stars
6.Carey Price - put goalies side by side I hate trying to decide where they fit
7.Henrik Lundqvist - maybe I'd put em lower but easier to put the goalies beside each other and shows how close they are
8. Henrik Zetterberg - beast
9. Anze Kopitar - edge to Kopitar over Doughty due to how I feel about them based on prime
10. Drew Doughty - leads the charge on defenseman would be higher if he didn't have his couple 'bad' years
11. Shea Weber - giving edge based on Doughty reserugance
12. Duncan Keith - great career player that played at a high level consistently
13. Ryan Getzlaf - prime ended shorter than I would have liked
14. Jonathon Toews - this list isn't based on intangibles and someone has to be last on this list

I hate rating goalies versus players or even defenseman on lists v forwards not the biggest fan of this at all. My list is based on there careers.
Peak will be considered as well as a consistent prime.

Winning a cup will not be a consideration however however playoff performabces will be considered.

Anze Kopitar and Zetterberg are 90 point talents who were beasts defensively. No way they should be low.

This was a very interesting comparison IMO.

Sid and Ovi are useless evaluations as they are 1 and 2 always.

Malkin and Kane are so, so close between the two. I went with the slightly better PPG and more "what if" with Malkin because I think he was hampered by injuries quite a bit, but wouldn't fault anyone going Kane.

Keith solidifies the top 5 pretty easily IMO, no one really has any contest to him there.

Price over Lundqvist is always a good debate
Doughty and Weber is a good one too, ultimately its similar to Price and Hank for me, similar levels of dominance but one just peaked higher.
The Selke forwards after that.. Toews with the most cups and a Conn Smythe gets the nod IMO. Kopitar slightly over Bergeron because I value his offensive game and what he did in 2018 more than the two Selkes (And 1 more cup.)

Im not sure about Toews over Kopi and Getzlaf, but ultimately I think the Conn Smythe and extra cup is a good barometer ? I don't even know lmao.

I think the top 5 are obvious and then it's pretty much in the air after that.

1. Sidney Crosby
2. Alex Ovechkin
3. Evgeni Malkin
4. Patrick Kane
5. Duncan Keith
6. Patrice Bergeron
7. Henrik Lundqvist
8. Jonathan Toews
9. Drew Doughty

It's only close because of Crosby's injuries. If Crosby were more "durable" there wouldn't be any debate whatsoever and we're probably talking about a Big 5, rather than a Big 4.

Honestly, part of me wanted to do a 4-way tie between Toews, Kopitar, Bergeron and Zetterberg. Between career, value to team, peak performance, there's so little to slice between them. In the end I weighted peak a bit more than career. Had I done it vice versa, Bergeron would probably be the highest of those 4.
