This is pretty much spot on what I'd like to see
Evans has 10 points in 42 games.
He’s competing hard every shift, making stuff happen offensively, and being responsible in his own end. He’s outplaying KK right now, that’s just the fact of the matter. Not trying to get into this KK thing again with you, too many positive vibes right now.
Your bias is showing again if you think that Jake Evans shouls slot in above KK on the depth chart.
He’s playing better. It’s as simple as that.
side note: nothing more hilarious than those who are the obviously bias ones calling out others for their bias. What “bias” do I have? I’ve said it a million times, I want KK to be a great player it’s just that it isn’t happening.
Nothing is impossible.
What about Drouin? hahahahaha
I don’t know if someone already made this lineup but here is mine
CC has 2 goals in 5 games
JD has 2 goals in 45 games
One is excited to be playing for the Habs and the other has quit
Guys let's just leave JD at home he needs it and the team is better
In no world should Staal start if we're healthy. Obviously the same with Frolik.
Gallagher IN, Tatar IN
Staal OUT, Frolik OUT
As for Drouin? I'd leave Evans, Lekhonen, and Armia in at this point... Byron probably the same.
I'm open to changing Caufield and Armia.
Should be interesting with forwards coming back. Staal should sit imo, and I'd like to see Poehling have a shot.
I sure hope you're wrong! Byron has no business being there and if DD want's to stick in the NHL, he better wake up!
Poehling and few others will be around when their AHL season will finish. No more cap space problems then.
Evans has outplayed Dano, and KK and Staal.
Danault is matched up against either Matthews or McDavid for literally 1/3 of our games remember. Not sure Evans could handle that just yet.
True...but we wont know until next year...assuming Phil cashes in on his ufa status.
KK will be a 4th line winger.
Weber will play 30 painful minutes per game.
Staal will be the 2nd most used forward behind Danault.
If Drouin decides to come back, he will hop back on the 2nd line.
Price will be start every game even if he doesn't find his form.
You forgot Perry getting more minutes along with Staal and Byron playing top 6.
Over time, Dom gets it more or less right.
Under Dom, Drouin trickled down to the 4th line, as did Staal.
Lehkonen and Evan's have now caught his attention. They now have a serious shot at coming out of the doghouse. I'm not sure Staal survives that, or Staal himself doesn't end up the 4th line LW.
Players find their level.
I don’t get what DD is doing with Caufield right now. It looks he ´s protecting the guy against Edmonton and Toronto, and plays him with Danault against teams like Ottawa, Calgary, Winnipeg.
I don’t think it’s a good idea to change your lines each game depending on opponents. It send a negative messagw to your team and mixing lines aint good for chemistry.
Something I dont get?
It’s a little weird for DD to mix up the lines between games, especially when they’ve won, but he’s well known back in juniors for firing up the line blender based on how players are playing.
My guess is that DD matches the Danault line against McDavid and Matthews when we play Edmonton and Toronto. For all the good things Caufield has been showing, it's still a good idea to shelter him. Throwing him against 15+ mins of McDavid & Matthews would be brutal for a rookie.
Ottawa has no such players, hence why Caufield is on the first line. Also with the last 3 wins we've all but clinched the playoff spot, so might as well try things out.
i thought this.
But how does it make sense to put Cole on one line wed. against the sens, only to change the lines up for Thursday against the Leafs?
