What do you guys think Guy will do with the full roster at his disposal come playoff time?
Boucher values speed so ill be going with that.

Dzingel - Turris - Stone
Hoffman - Pageau - Ryan
Smith - Brassard - Pyatt
MacArthur - White - Stalberg
------
Burrows - Kelly - Wingels
Neil
--

Methot - Karlsson
Phaneuf - Ceci
Claesson - Wideman
------
Harpur
Boro

Anderson
Condon

PP #1
Hoffman - Turris - Stone
Dion - Karlsson
PP #2
MacArthur - Brassard - Ryan
Ceci - Wideman

Pk #1
Pageau - Pyatt
Phaneuf - Ceci
Pk #2
Stalberg - Smith
Methot - Karlsson

*Burrows can swap in for MacA at away games or in another version of the line up
*Same for Kelly and White
* Neil, Wingels Considered Injury fill ins

What I like about the forwards are that you got two speedsters on every line.

D pairings are pretty obvious. So is goaltending. It's the forward lines where Boucher's going to have some decisions to make if everyone gets healthy.

Given we've been in a playoff dogfight the past few games, I'd say we've already seen what Guy will do with the playoff line-up. Assuming everyone's healthy, I'd be surprised to see White in over Burrows, Kelly, and Wingels. Not saying that's right, just saying that's what I expect.

I'd like to see:

Hoffman-Turris-Stone
Smith-Brassard-Ryan
Pyatt-Pageau-Burrows
Stalberg-White-Dzingel

I feel like MacArthur has lost a step and is playing cautiously which is understandable but we need speed and physicality.

IMO we have the depth and personnel to make serious noise.

Phaneuf and Brassard could both elevate their games by 3 times the player they were during regular season. Burrows too. Those guys scream playoff warriors.

Karlsson and Stone are gonna be beauts. Gonna be beautiful to watch. Especially if we match up vs Boston then MTL for first 2 rounds.

That one is realllly good ^ Look at that 4th line

Hoffman-Turris-Stone
Smith-Brassard-Burrows
Stalberg-Pageau-Pyatt
MacArthur-White-Ryan

or

Burrows-Brassard-Stone
Hoffman-Turris-Stalberg
Smith-Pageau-Pyatt
MacArthur-White-Ryan

What I'd do (not what I think Boucher would do)

Hoffman - Turris - Stone - Need the offense.
Smith - Brassard - Ryan - Could be an alright line together
Stalberg - Pageau - Pyatt - Shut down line
Macathur - White - Burrows - Speed, grit and offensive upside, plus decent defense

Dzingel
Wingels
Kelly

I think this a good combination of size, speed and grit on all 4 lines. I think all 4 lines could score.

Karlsson - Methot - Duh
Dion - Ceci - Duh
Claesson - Harpur - they're just better than Boro and Wideman, that simple.

The 4th line could be scary in a good way.

I do like that 4th line a lot.

I'd prefer your first combo. Similar to what I was thinking.

I'd leave Ryan and Kelly off the playoff lineup.

I'm thinking that come playoffs, MacArthur will have his timing back.

Up front, I'd like to see this (god please let us sub in White from now on so he can earn Boucher's trust and bump Kelly out pemanently):

Hoffman-Turris-Stone 1A (HST)
MacArthur-Brassard-Ryan 1B
Smith-White-Burrows 3A (the agitators)
Stalberg-Pageau-Pyatt 3B (the shutdown line)

On the backend, I'm a bit more torn;

Methot-Karlsson
Phaneuf-Harpur
Claesson-Ceci

This allows us to get Ceci some easier matchups and play more offensive, but I wouldn't do it against speedy teams as I'm not sure Phaneuf-Harpur is up to shutting down speedsters.

Or

Methot-Karlsson
Phaneuf-Ceci
Harpur/Claesson-Wideman

This is more traditional, but upgrade Boro with one of Harpur or Claesson.

Or

Claesson-Karlsson
Methot-Ceci
Phaneuf-Wideman

This spreads out the talent, we can juggle as needed, and Karlsson can double shift with Methot and Phaneuf.

I think Pageau is a great shutdown C, but also has offensive ability and that shows when he plays with Hoffman. But I think our top 6 is better if Hoffman is up there and I think the return of MacArthur is huge. MacArthur is a lot like Pageau - he's a great skater, smart player and contributes both defensively and offensively.

I want to see MacArthur - Pageau - Pyatt as the third line.

Then some combo of Hoffman-Turris-Ryan Smith-Brassard-Stone (though Hoffman-Turris-Stone is tempting) in the top 6 and all kinds of options for the 4th line. I like the speed of Dzingle but figure he's the odd man out.

Leave Burrows in. I want to see what he can bring come playoffs. I mean we brought him in for a reason right?

I'm not holding hope that Brassard will show up in the playoffs. The last few games are essentially playoff type games in terms of importance and I don't see much of a difference in his play. Don't think he will magically switch gears. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.

For the love of god please sit Kelly.

If Mac gets back to speed then I would do soemthing more along the lines of your forward lines.

My combo thinking is based off of what I've seen, but I definitely think he can get back to gamespeed.

I wouldn't mind seeing if the MoToR line can regain their magic.

If so put Smith with Stone and Hoffman with Pageau.

For some reason Boucher seems to over value Kelly and will likely keep him in the lineup despite having better talent available. This will render the 4th line essentially useless. If he decides to put White in, then the Sens will be 4 lines deep and could do some damage.

I put Burrows in Smith's spot and Smith in White's spot... other than that it is bang on.

MacArthur white stalberg is a legit great third line. Let alone fourth.

I like burrows Kelly wingels out.

No way Burrows doesn't play imo. He's scored big goals for us already.

White will sit, unless we have 2-3 injuries.

He will get a look in the final 2 games I'm sure and if he exceeds expectations he may push Dzingel out of the lineup if anyone

Boucher loves Kelly because of his experience and solid pk ability. I only see White coming in if things start to go south in games 1/2.
