Hi guys/girls,
I was watching a classic game on Loafs tv last night, Game 3 from the 1979 series between the Habs and the Leafs. One detail caught me; the Leafs started with a forward line of Sittler, Tiger and Hutchinson, the latter a defenceman. It struck me as odd because the Leafs had last change and the Habs started with the Gainey line, not the Lafleur line. Was this a common tactic or was this Nielsen trying to throw off Bowman?
Thanks
