Adam Henrique never surpassed the 51 points he got as a rookie. He did hit 50 points twice, and scored more goals on four other occasions.

He’s never came close to the situation he had in his rookie season. Playing between Parise and Kovalchuk is a dream come true for any rookie

I was just looking at Teemu. He played 84 games his first season?

84GP
76G
56A
132Pts

In the early/mid 90s the NHL had a few seasons where each team played 2 "neutral site" games per year and played 84 games total.

The Selanne one in particular was from the 92-93 season. There are many, many anomalies from that season as far as scoring totals go.

Yak had his career high in goals (17) despite it being a lockout season

He had more points in 2014-2015 (33 vs 31) but he played more games (81 vs 48)

Magnus Paajarvi is another Oiler who had his best totals by far in his rookie year - 15g and 34pts as a 19 year old rookie and no more than 9g and 16pts in a year since then
I will still never truly understand what happened to yak

Dystopia
Arguably Phaneuf, Malakhov, Borschevsky, Blair MacDonald, Hextall, Felix Potvin, Belfour...

Many players do it they just don't go on to have memorable careers so we forget about them.
