Daniel Sedin just tied Brock Boeser for 1st in points but Boeser had 12 fewer GP and more goals.

Pavel Datsyuk had 1 less point than Zetterberg before retiring in 16 fewer games.

So, so far we've got:

Syl Apps (1947-48)
Jean Beliveau (1970-71)
Paul Reinhart (1989-90)
Wayne Gretzky (1998-99)

The one that surprises me there is Reinhart... never would have thought of that in a million years!

Phil Esposito would have done it if he hadn't come back to play 41 games in 1980-81... but then, I suppose we can say that about a lot of players! Robitaille if he hadn't had one more season after the Lock-out. Jagr if he'd retired at age 43...but he didn't.

I can't think of any others... but there must be more. Maybe guys who had to retire prematurely / suddenly...?
