Its crazy how fast time seems to pass

I was looking at some ages and I was totally blown away when I realized that Ovechkin was already 29. It feels like he was a rookie just yesterday

Ovechkin 29
Mike Green 29
Crosby 27
Malkin 28
Fleury 30

So which players are older then you thought?

Matt Cullen. Mainly because his name sounds like he's always going to be that kid in your junior high class that warrants his full name being said at all times. "Hey, remember Matt Cullen from grade 10 Algebra?"

Also, whenever he plays the Oilers, he's a world beater and is always good for a goal. Doesn't play like he's 38.

Brent Burns is damn near 30. I fondly remember him as a baby face teenager playing for the wild. Now he has a sleeve of tatoos, a ZZ Top beard, a zoo in his house, and zero front teeth.

Mikkel Boedker is 25 today, it seems just like yesterday, he was 24.

But seriously, why do these ages surprise you ? Crosby's number is 87 for a reason. Malkin, Ovechkin and Fleury were all drafted year(s) before him, so...

Holy crap, I can't believe he's even in the league anymore. I thought for sure he retired like 5 years ago.

With how long the Red Wings take to develop players, a lot of their ages surprise me. Case in point, Tatar and Nyquist are 24 and 25 respectively, and I feel like I only learned about them just last season.

chris kunitz being 35 really makes me feel old

seems just like yesterday he was first making a name for himself on the 05-06 ducks and wearing #38

I knew how old Jagr is but damn watching him play it's really hard to tell. What a freak. Also I thought Nyquist was younger than 25.

I've noticed a few people are surprised that Burrows is 33. He broke into the league when he was 24, and played his first full season at 25 I believe.

Chara is older than Krejci.

Then I thought about how strange it is that people still don't know the difference between then and than.

The people talking about Chris Stewart still having a chance to turn it round because he's young at only 27 is quite alarming. Maybe it's because it took a few years for him to make his NHL debut.

Gaudreau is 21. I pegged him as being no older than 15.

Cory Schneider is almost 29 now, almost a vet which is a strange feeling here. Fleury is in this league like forever, but when you look at him, he doesn´t look like he´s 30.
