Mark Recchi won the cup with the Penguins, Hurricanes and Bruins.

Edit:
And Joe Nieuwendyk did it with the Flames, Stars and Devils.

Hossa made the finals with the Penguins and Red Wings, before winning the cup with the Blackhawks.

Claude Lemieux won cups with the Canadiens, Avalanche and Devils.

And a player by the name of Jack Marshall won six cups with four different teams in the early 1900s: Winnipeg Victorias in 1901, Montreal HC in 1902 and 1903, Montreal Wanderers in 1907 and 1910, and with the Toronto Blueshirts in 1914.

A lot of players have made the finals with three different teams.

But Petr Sykora has made the finals - wins and losses - four times, with the Devils, Ducks, Oilers, and Penguins.

Billy Hague was losing goalie with 4 different SC challenge teams. Ottawa Silver Seven, Ottawa Victoria, Galt Pros and Moncton Victorias. Did win it with Silver Seven once.

Ty Conklin was with losing team 2006 (Oilers) 2008 (Penguins) and 2009 (Red Wings). Mainly as backup goalie. In 2007 he was on losing side in conference finals with Sabres.

Sykora signed with Edmonton the year after they went to the 2006 Final.

I heard Darryl Sydor on local radio yesterday, coincidentally. I had no memory at all of him ever playing in Pittsburgh until it was mentioned by the host. Indeed, he was there in 2008 and played four games in the Final. That makes him a member of the rare 4-team club (LA 93, Dallas 99 and 00, Lightning 04, Pittsburgh 08).

Brian Propp played in five losing finals with three teams, the three 1980s Flyers teams that went to the finals and was a late season acquisition by the 1990 Bruins and 1991 North Stars

Brad Richards was in the Final with Lightning (2004), Rangers (2014) and Blackhawks (2015).

Brett Hull was in the Final with Flames (1986), twice with Stars (1999/2000) and once with Red Wings (2002).

Paul Coffey = 4
Oilers
Penguins
Red Wings
Flyers

Interestingly enough, to go with Coffey's seven appearances in the Cup Final, he was traded four times leaving plenty of good charm to his old team:

Oilers traded Coffey away after a holdout in 1987 --> they went onto winning the Cup that season
Penguins traded Coffey away in 1992 --> they went onto winning the Cup that year
Kings traded Coffey away in 1993 --> they went onto the Cup Final that year
Red Wings traded Coffey away in 1996 --> they went onto winning back-to-back Stanley Cups

I know he wasn't a scorer, but I wanted to mention that Keane won three Cups despite having a 0.15 GPG average in the playoffs.

Rhett Warrener.

And he lost all of them.

This is off the top of my head because I'm lazy, so correct me if I'm wrong.

1996 - he plays for Florida and gets swept.

1999 - he loses as a member of the Sabres in 6 games, which featured the Brett Hull crease goal.

2004 - he loses as a member of the flames in game 7. That included a game 6 where gelinas came extremely close to clinching a cup in OT for calgary.... Inconclusive on video review, although now that I think about it, I'm not even sure if they officially reviewed it.

Ouch.

For the record..

I have read in published history books (3 or 4 books ... back when i was younger).

Gord Pettinger (a 4-time Stanley Cup winner) CRAPPED literally in the cup the summer he was named captain of the Detroit Red Wings and the organization was so offended they immediately took away his captaincy and traded him (and tried to erase all memory of him).

Persona non grata... like ex-Habs captain Billy Coutu (who was just following coach Art Ross' edict when in Boston he was "banned for life".. which was in fact overturned 5 years later officially, due to leaked news of Ross' edict).

There is of course real **** in hockey history as there is in society.
