Refund yes, but they still lost money through escrow.

They had ~10% taken out and only got 7% back.

Sources say the final accounting will result in players losing only three per cent of their salary and being rebated the seven per cent difference versus what was actually withheld.

Just because I was overwithheld and got a refund back from the IRS does not mean I didn't pay any taxes.
