No idea who this kid is but he's 21, 5 ft 11, 183 pounds, played for Moscow Oblast Avant. Put up 32 points in 57 games in the KHL this year to date.

Pretty nice to see us actually draft/sign a Russian forward for once. Been a while

Good deal. Not bad numbers for the KHL, and at 21yo. If you can lour them, they are a few gems sitting in the KHL.... Even Canadians... hard to believe.

Soshnikov, 21, skated in 57 games with Moscow Oblast Atlant of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) this season, collecting 32 points (14 goals, 18 assists) and 22 penalty minutes. Soshnikov led his team with 14 even strength goals this season. The 5-11, 185-pound forward also ranked second on his team with 139 shots. Soshnikov had the third highest point total (32) among all KHL skaters under the age of 23. In 90 career KHL games, Soshnikov has collected 37 points (16 goals, 21 assists) and 49 penalty minutes.

Does he have to pass through waivers if we send him down to play with the Marlies this season?

Not too shabby looking at those videos. Not a great finisher but he plays hard and brave and appears to skate at an NHL level.
