It was stated in the article from Jon Rosen as being what sounds like a herniated disk with muscular issues.

It's like the diagnosis will never be revealed - that in itself is scary that they will not give any info about it...or simply if the diagnosis is unclear to the exact, precision
ability to diagnosis it...AND what was REALLY strange last year, Bob McKenzie stated Vilardi had surgery. Not sure if that quote can be found...I should have saved it.
That's interesting if he did and the Kings did not disclose it.

Are you referring to the stuff that was talked about in this post?

Bob McKenzie on TSN 690 radio this morning confirmed Vilardi had surgery after his OHL season ended last year, back flared up in summer camp. Because of his back he tried to compensate and had a groin issues as well. Now he feels alot of it is mental with Gabe. Kid needs to stay positive, lots of time to heal.

If Vilardi does have a herniated disc there is plenty of information as to how to fix it. I've had a herniated disc. That's my issue with the inept Kings doctors. If he has a herniated disc and it doesn't get better with re hab then you have him undergo surgery. Instead we have a player doing nothing and the Kings doctors flat put refuse to diagnose the kid. How many other top prospects in the NHL do you know of that are injured and there is nNO diagnosis for said player?

Actually writing an article on one of these players as we speak for Mayor's Manor. It will probably be a while before it goes out, because there are other articles to be published first.

It almost seems that after all the injuries and setbacks hes experienced, its become a mental thing where he's almost too conscience about it and is starting to doubt himself and his body... rest will do him good and then lets see how this plays out

If he rests for much longer, I think he's legally deceased.

Feel bad for Vilardi, not just for his hockey career but his quality of life must be ass cheeks.

Kid is 19 years old with a 60 year olds back.

How many if you have been to a doctor recently and the doctor had no idea what was wrong with you? And the doctor prescribed you to go home and do nothing for an indefinite amount of time?

I'm searching for what's wrong with Gabe. There's no answers.
Its seems like they know and arent saying. I haven't had back surgery but I have had neck surgery and if his disc is causing that much impairment then he should get it surgically repaired and then get to work with the strengthening program. The longer they delay it the longer the rehab because his back will simply continue to get weaker. One of the best Back Specialists in the business is right here in LA, this guy should be getting other opinions at least.
