Who would be your top 5 teams to absolutely suck this year and thus have the best shots at #1 (excluding lottery pick)?

#1 - Pittsburgh
#2 - Montreal
#3 - Columbus
#4 - Calgary

aaaaand my upset special

#5 - Washington or Minnesota

Who would you pick?

It would take injuries to Jagr and Kolzig for the Caps to fall that low.

But, it would be interesting if they landed Ovechkin. They already have a strong pool of prospects, and Ovechkin would join Jagr in '04.

Pens have a good chance, they will likely have a poor season and end up with a high pick.

Considering the season hasn't even began, it's a little early for speculation IMO.

Can ya dig it? :yo:

Can you say holy..................#$&%. That would be one of the best lines if not the best line in recent memory depending if they all live up to the full potential... There is no doubt Columbus would have a dynasty.

Chicago has to be close to the bottom of the pack. Looks like they're keeping 5-6 rookies according to Smith...shaky D...shaky in goal.

I hope not, but Montreal have a good chace if Theo is notthe best (and I relly mean he have to be) goalie in the league this year.

I would prefer makink the playoffs but...

My first pick would be Pittsburg.

I think the wheels could possibly come off the Wild wagon this season, especially if their holdouts are longterm. Lots of 1-0 or 2-1 losses are a realistic possibility. I don't think they'll slip to the bottom, but the lottery is a possibility.

I'm not saying the Habs are good but they will draft between #6 and #13 like they usually do for the past years. We are not good enough to make the playoffs but not bad enought to land a top 5 pick.....Kinda like the NYR and Chicago in the past few drafts.

Oh by the way that's my 666th post.....it's evil. :p
