I don’t think Pogba will be sold. He’s just way too important to the marketing and homegrown aspect of the team. I’d love to get Perisic but I think that ship sailed with Sanchez. It could be interesting if we sell Mata and get Vidal and play him next to Matic and play Pogba at 10 if Mou is so interested in playing a 4-2-3-1

No clue..not that it matters. Some don't have the means to attend games, making it for some impossible to watch games live. Sadly.

No clue but success brings fans... If you are not a fan of the team from inception, you're a plastic glory hunter? There's no in-between huh.

    Again, no clue see above.

Without fans what would be the difference in titles between the EPL and a sunday league title?

That's a fair point about marketing. But Utd did cut ties with di Maria so there is still some ruthlessness in Woodward imo.

If you choose the team because they win then yes. You are a glory hunter. No other way around it.

I am not going declare him a fan. Just another glory hunter. People like him using WE annoys me to no end. Absolute insult to long suffering Man City fans.

Both Liverpool & Tottenham have a chance for catching Man United
United -> Spurs only 4 point difference.

It will be super interesting to see, who gets 2nd & 3rd
and which one gets dropped to the UCL qualify spot.

    To this i can respond.

Well...Swansea plays next match at away vs Man City
Baggies play at home vs Liverpool

0 points for both i'm guessing.

Swansea faces Chelsea after that, WBA plays against the Magpies at away
....West Brom could get 3 points there, Swansea most likely get zero.

    difference 6 points...

Swansea play against both So'to and Stoke, both which
    fight against relegation...

also, Swansea has 1 game in hand.

    Baggies have Spurs and Palace....

    Sure Swansea+Southampton+Stoke might eat points
from each other, but....man...they have to win
both Tottenham&Crystal Palace, not to get relegated.

    Tough job.

West Brom have played a match more than everyone else they're competing with for survival on top of the fact they have to play both Liverpool and Spurs in the run-in. Add to that they have to win every match and Swansea would have to lose every match and it's still not settled.

No qualifier anymore, straight into group stage.

Liverpool are so focused on the Champions League and rightly so, that even though they're the second best team at this stage they'll finish fourth. Have to rotate players whenever possible.

They essentially need to win out, and even then need a bit of help. There’s a small (like fraction of a percent), but realistically it’s not happening.

    The *minimim* they need is:

    - 3 wins, 1 loss
    - Swansea lose their last 5
    - Southampton get fewer than 6 points in their last 5
    - Stoke get fewer than 7 in their last 5
And even then it’s goal difference.

And yea the only difference between 2nd and 4th now is a couple million in prize money.

I mean technically if Liverpool drop to 5th, win the CL, and Arsenal win the EL, then 4th would go to the Europa league instead of the CL, but that’s not happening.

Honestly I’d say Arsenal winning the EL is the highest percentage of those, shortly followed by Liverpool winning the CL. Liverpool dropping to 5th is the extreme longshot.

Even if Chelsea win out (which would include a win at Anfield), Liverpool only need 5 point from WBA, Stoke, and Brighton.

That’d be nuts if that all happened, but ya it won’t. Didn’t something like that happen when like 6-7 years ago Chelsea won the CL and Newcastle finished 4th or 5th?

It was Spurs who were denied the Champions League spot on that occasion despite a fourth place finish (which did for Harry Redknapp at White Hart Lane). Newcastle finished fifth, and joined Spurs in the UEFA Cup.

I could even see Burnley finishing ahead of Arsenal now. They pull ahead if they get 3 points more out of their upcoming three games (Chelsea, Stoke, Brighton) than Arsenal out of their upcoming two (West Ham, Man United) and then both teams play each other.

On the contrary- I'm thrilled my prediction was wrong.

And no matter Arsenal's distractions, the rarity of a home win over the Gunners over the last 20 years bears consideration.

Perez's finish was world class. There's plenty to like about his game, it's such a pity the total package isn't quite there.

What's great about this victory, along with the win over Manchester United, is that unlike the Pardew and McClaren eras you don't feel slightly cheated that they don't play like this every week- the hard work that underpinned these wins has been present all season, even though this is arguably the weakest front six I've seen Newcastle field in the top flight.

And there's the pleasure of knowing that each win further vindicates Rafa, and the fans' trust in him, and makes his critics look ever more like the agenda-driven vermin we always knew they were.

Mind, I'm still counting down the days until the loser who owns the club gleefully steers the ship into an iceberg again.

Please let Jose sell good players to bring in more slow midfielders who play negative football.

I mean, obviously he hasn’t been given enough money to improve the club.
