It's clueless because the last season he was healthy, he was Liverpool's best midfielder when they made the CL final. Then he ruptured all his knee ligaments. That is a very difficult injury to recover from.

This was the first time since his knee blew to pieces that he started in his best position, in midfield. He's only "on the bench" right now because they don't want him to play too much and get hurt again.

It’s unacceptable for a CB at a club like city to not have basic awareness like that. You can’t just sit on the ball at the edge of your area when the other team is up, even if you don’t think they’re actively pressing.
