Liverpool Magic Number is 5. Liverpool can clinch the Premier League during MW31 if:
  • Liverpool WIN over Crystal Palace AND
  • Man City LOSE or DRAW against Chelsea

Well this was before City opened up a can of whoop ass on Burnley

actually I counted wrong you are right.

city would have 64 points with 21 maximum left if they draw = 85

liverpool win puts them at 86

Looks like their actual magic number is 5.

City have 60 points and have 9 games left (including today). So they cap out at 60 + (9*3) = 87 points.

Liverpool currently have 83 points.

So a total of 5 points won by Liverpool or lost by City would guarantee them the title.

A draw loses City 2 points, so that combined with a Liverpool win would mean the title.

Liverpool play Wednesday and City play Thursday. I’ll count again after that. First time in a while Liverpool has played before City

Connolly is impressing today. Happy to see him back from injury.

Did not love the Maupay miss and the Webster knock. Duffy has a lost a step and is not comfortable on the ball in comparison to Dunk and Webster. He has been much less effective in Potter's system and I'm worried he may be exposed today.
