I love listening to him talk. Always says the right things.
If Everton can beat Spurs, would be a perfect weekend for Liverpool.
Out of curiosity, I looked up the matchday 17 table from 2013-14. Liverpool was top and Arsenal second on goals, with five additional teams within six points of top.
Much smaller race this time with a four point lead on second and only one other team within nine points.
This team is a lot better than the 13/14 team. Also 08/09 was a better team than 13/14. Of course Liverpool bright their best teams when their opponents are all team great teams in the history of the PL. And in 08/09 Liverpool did the double on that United team.
Can we talk about Tony Martial for a moment? Best goal per minute ratio in the PL this season. Might be worth the transfer fee Utd paid for him now.
No, he's not.
Isn't it 60mil? A tad bit overpriced but not bad when you compare to morata Lacazette and Lukaku nowadays.
Was he worth 60mil at the time he was bought? Definitely not. But if he was to be sold now I'd bet he'd be sold for a similar fee. He definitely can still hit a level to make it worth it.
Lacazette is better.
That's not how it works though.
Otherwise you'd say Platini or Zidane were bought for cheap.
Players can justify their fee over time. Especially younger players. I definitely wouldn't say Martial was cheap, but he can be worth that price.
Frankly I don't think he will. He could if he was a top 5 offensive player. Then he'd be worth his 70M€ price tag.
At this point, it isn't looking like a good deal at all.
Walcott puts Everton up.
Goat defending by Everton there.
What is Pickford even doing there? Your defender clearly had the ball under control and even if he didn’t, you can’t come out and then randomly stop when you get to the ball.
If you’re gonna clear it, clear it.
...know what though? Spurs haven't really been Spursy for a while now.
Spurs may put up 5 like ManU.
And Kane makes it 3.
3 team race.
Everton is terrible.
Pickford was asking for four men in the wall but could’ve used another.
Everton’s defense is just lazy. The last two goals basically the entire team was standing still while a spurs player ran onto an open ball in the box.
Another did run in at the end. The wall was too far to pickfords right, especially considering he had set it up a full man to the side of there it ended.
Edit: nevermind, that guy ran in and then bailed lol. He would have been in the perfect place to block that shot lol.
"I won't blunder like Alisson"
Eriksen with a beauty! The Fab Four.
