In theory, yes.

(Cue happy memories of the time Coventry's game started late because of traffic delays on a couple of motorways and they relegated Middlesbrough and sunderland on the very same day Newcastle United leapfrogged from fourth to second and a place in the Champions League qualifiers).

Yea they do this every year for gameweek 38, unfortunately.

I like it. Prevents a situation where Liverpool plays first thing and loses and City just trots out for a meaningless game due to timing differences.

If it’s a meaningless game because the team wrapped it up before week 38, then they earned a game off, but they should get that based on the previous 37, not based on a Random scheduling difference.

Also usually makes relegation more interesting.

This year is a little different. Everything is essentially settled *except* the title. Top 4 is set, Europe is set (pending the FA cup final), relegation is set.
