Did McKenzie ever say that? McKenzie's word is basically law when it comes to the Penguins and I feel like I would have remembered that had he said that.

From what I recall, McKenzie was pretty much on the money when it came to Kessel all along. It may have been someone like Yohe who said the Penguins were fine with not trading Kessel.

Nah, can't say it was Bob who said it. Just remember reading it while that situation was ongoing.

Kovy doesn't really strike me as a move tbh.

The biggest thing going against Kovy coming here would be what they just went thru with Phil.
I'm sure they'd like to try Kovy on the left boards on the PP BUT how does it change the 5on5 lines 1 thru 4 and how does Geno react...
Those things are a big red X for bringing him in.

On Noesen, it's clear he struggles with NHL pace.
Would rather give the AJ's, Militec's, Angello's, DiPauli's a cup of coffee now.
I liked testing him out and rewarding him with a contract tho.

Good responses. When it comes to Schultz, he's really underperformed over the past couple of seasons. I don't think he'll be worth what he ends up getting in FA.
