I like how Legare can get that shot off at full gallop. It will be interesting to see him develop because he has some tools. He and Poulin will bring some weight to the lineup.

He's RFA now, assuming they re-sign him but he'll have to clear waivers (Along with Angello and Adam Johnson)

Think he either makes Pittsburgh as an extra or most likely claimed by an Ottawa or included in some small trade if not (re: Archibald/Scott Wilson, etc).

Even though they’re UFAs I could see Barber and Johnson re-signed. But currently there’s only 2 “vets” in Czuczman and Trotman, so we’ll probably see a few veteran forwards signed in free agency. Maybe someone like Garrett Wilson gets brought back to be captain.

Seems like a lot of Euros are opting to stay in Europe. Makes sense. Not as many teams over there which means not as much travel, which lessens chance of getting the virus.

Lavoie from Edmonton signed in Europe too, not sure if any other non-Europeans have also.

Could be a really weak league overall.

Pretty sure Sully hates AJ, he always gave him like 3-4 minutes IIRC.

Any time we called him up I always noticed him busting his balls with his speed and taking pucks away. He may just be a 4th line player but that's fine more speed is never a bad thing.

Johnson is the type of guy you should have on your 4th line. He brings speed and energy and he has something to lose. I really don't know why Sully isn't a fan.

I like AJ, I like his speed and versatility, put him with Tanev and you have some speed demons to contend with. I think if you even add Angelo to that line it could be interesting.

Gonna go in the opposite direction and say AJ has never impressed me too much. He’s a great skater but very light in the seat and easily rubbed off pucks.

If you re-sign him great but I’m not losing sleep over the guy.

What is using him correctly in your opinion?

My point is that he got a regular 4th line shift for a few games and showed little. Not saying hes a bad player but he’s a fringe NHLer, org depth type to me.

I think we haven’t seen enough of AJ or a long enough string of games to really know with him, tbh. Maybe he’s an AHL tweener or maybe he goes somewhere else and we’re pissed about him never getting a real chance here.

as a speedy forechecker with other players on his line that can take advantage of. and a dee that can get him the puck so he can be off to the races.

1:24 might be the lowest I've ever seen. I think Biz Nasty had a 2-minuter with Phoenix a few times. Maybe Tangradi when he was in Disco Dan doghouse with Pittsburgh once.

Good question. I feel like he's half and half. Predicted adamantly that Riikola was gone two days before re-signing. I think Vellucci talking POJ up a ton has something to do with it.
