by my count, there could be as many as 13 defensemen drafted in the first round. we need to move up!

I dont think he's that type of player though. Wasn't he considered more of a Vlasic type?

Vlasic had 73 points in his post-draft season.

From the article, "Top Wilkes-Barre/Scranton defenseman Lukas Bengtsson and Andrey Pedan have left the organization to sign with European clubs.". That confirms Bengtsson is leaving.

Good. I was worried they'd do something mental and sign him anyway.

Well at least the Connor Hall era is over. What a stupid pick from Day 1. Oh well.

As long as they've learned from it, it's all good. No more big physical defensemen with absolutely no skills.

Given that their public assessment of him was that he did indeed have skill, I'm going to guess that's not the lesson they learned.

Wonder who we will target on D to take over in WBS. Lots of gaps.

Olivier Galipeau is an interesting option on D and a UFA that just played for the Titants
    He had a fantastic season

It's Titans bro. Could you tell us a few things about him? Was he playing on the 1rst pair? etc.

I'm always a tad suspicious about powerhouse players, i mean, was he sheltered?

What about his skating? O? D?

    Just curious.

Yeah but even Olli Mattaa looked like a PPQB after getting drafted.

He could be, but his skating's holding him back.

I actually wouldnt mind seeing him on the PP sometimes. Its usually Kessel or Malkin bringing the puck up ice and Mattaa has a knack for getting his shot on net.

He’s on PP2 but won’t displace Letang or Schultz on PP1.

    Indeed it is lol

Great first pass, good skater and plays the big minutes
he bloomed late, but he was playing on 2 crap teams before getting traded to the Titans
Sometimes that's all a young players needs in terms of motivation.
Would be a great thing to send him an invite or even go as far as signing him

Yep, let's stop drafting guys whose absolute ceiling is Robert Bortuzzo/Deryk Engelland.
