Smith goes back to Vegas after rumordly being unhappy in Pittsburgh, PIT gets Zucker back where he's also a known quantity, Arizona gets futures.

I probably should have caveated that it's only a deal I'd make if the Pens win out the rest of the Western road trip and then say, beat Columbus and get a point out of the Caps going into the trade deadline. How'd you feel about it then?

That doesn't change anything. Not trading Smith for a UFA. I would rather get the asset and the cap space (Cap Space + 3rd > Cap Space from UFA).

They'll get like a 3rd or 4th back for him, maybe a 2nd if someone really likes him.
