He was a bit of a longshot being a 3rd rounder in a weak draft, but he had a monster playoffs in Guelph, and we were hoping he could build from that.

Why are people acting like it’s the end of the road for him? He was on an AHL only deal until like last week. He’ll clear waivers and possibly get a chance later on as it seems Pens have him pretty high on their depth chart.

Well there were rumblings before we traded him to STL that he was thinking about going back to Russia. Feel it's probably a make it or break it year for him at this point.

Well, he’s a lot closer to the NHL now then he was 10 days ago when he didn’t even have a contract.
