Dear lord that is heinously bad.

Absolutely massive downgrade that only saves them $2 million in cap space for 1 year, and then they don't have Letang or Goligoski anymore. I guess I can understand wanting to move Letang for futures, but "cap space" is not an asset when we're talking about trading Kris Letang.

You do realize that Arizona's new ownership wants to slash around $10 million right? So why would Arizona take on a more expensive Kris Letang over Alex Goligoski. Makes no sense what so ever.

They do this because they'd then flip Letang for way more than what they gave up for him, because Letang's value is dramatically higher than Goligoski's value.

I don't know where to begin with how bad this trade is for the Pens....if you want Letang it's gonna cost you a decent roster player, your best prospect and a 1st round pick...minimum

I would be very sad if they look to trade Letang and the only value they get is an expiring Gogo contract. That would be heartbreaking.
