They’ll have a great regular season and playoff run, as the worst case scenario.

They will be one of the favourites to win the cup, ending years of frustration if they do.

And they have a decent shot of adding one the true superstars in the sport in his prime for the next 8 years for a pile of garbage.

    Thanks Eugene.

They gave up a 3rd rounder.

The net return is probably something like Gustavsson, Bernard-Docker, Loheit, and a CBJ 3rd.

That is assuming people feel Tychonik is close enough to the 2nd we gave up in value.

Don't think that Berggren is much more valuable than Tychoink, but pick 33 is definitely more valuable than pick 48 in the same draft.

Fair enough, maybe 48+future CBJ 3rd=33?

Pretty much comes down to Gustavsson and Bernard-Docker being the main net value.

Edit: Oh and that Loheit guy.....

I'd think it varies year to year, but usually would take more to move up that far.

    Sens traded #42 + 3rd for #36 in 2015 to grab Gagne.

Yeah I'm not holding much hope for Loheit, watching Penticton you wouldn't be able to tell that he was an 18 year old let alone a drafted player, he blends in with the mid level guys in the BCHL. He'd need a very big jump to be a legit prospect, IMO of course.

Took a break from this to regain my sanity, but I'll be updating the trade tracker this weekend!

Always fun to review the trail of destruction left by yours truly, Pierre Dorion.
