I think a lot of people don't understand what he is trying to do with this post.

All he is saying is pick 10 players from this past first round that YOU THINK will never be NHL regulars. He's not saying that he thinks these people won't, he's just picking the top 10 most likely and asking you all to do the same.

I hate having to defend a Kings fan, it sickens me that I had to in this case, but some people need to be less sensitive and read a little closer.

Tlusty's two game does impress me. I've been impressed by him at the u-18's...and his downside isn't that horrid.

I say Lewis, Bernier.

Ten is a big number. I have no real knowledge on the subject, so I'll just guess:

1. Varlamov
2. Lewis
3. Frolik
4. Fischer
5. Bernier
6. Brassard:eek:
7. Berglund
8. ah
9. crap
10. this is hard

11 LAs Jonathan Bernier G Lewiston MAINEiacs (QMJHL)
14 Van Michael Grabner R Spokane Chiefs (WHL)
17 LAs Trevor Lewis C Des-Moines Buccaneers (USHL)
19 Anh Mark Mitera D U. of Michigan (NCAA)
22 Phi Claude Giroux R Gatineau Olympiques (QMJHL)

27 Dal Ivan Vishnevskiy D Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (QMJHL)
29 Pho Chris Summers D US National Under-18 Team
30 NJy Matt Corrente D Saginaw Spirit (OHL)

Ivan Vishnevskiy would be my lock not to make it. A little surprised but I guess I really didn't like LA's draft.

Exactly, and I hate having to have you defend me too.

It's funny how insecure some people are on here about their prospects.

Try making a list by the way guys, it's harder than it looks.

My list is very similar but I wouldnt throw Bernier in or Giroux, I would put Fischer there along with Brassard, I think he will have plenty of injury problems

Michael Grabner was one of the best goalscorers in the WHL last season. He has the speed and talent to play in the NHL.

From a purely statistical standpoint, so was Pavel Brendl...we all know how that ended up.

The thread is futile but funny to read the bickering none the less. ;)

solid list, best so far.

By the way those who think that Fischer will not make it should take a strong look at him. I agree that he was a kind of offboard pick but from what I have seen at the Canadian developement camp I think the habs got a player. He is not nearly ready but he has some serious hockey sense/ hands/size/ skating combo. I have been usually a good judge for hands and this guy have some hands that you can't buy. If he can developp his size/ hockey sense/ agility further more watch out.

But from this list, I only except 3 or 4 to not play regulary in the NHL. Alot won't live to their potential, but just like some have said before, guys like Okposo, Stewart, Tlustly, Mitera will play in the NHL. We only don't know if it's gonna be on a scoring line, defensive line or checking line or 1st/2nd/3rd pairing D

People get Chris Stewart off of your lists this guy is going to be a star....well dont know about star but he will be a solid 2nd liner and if he works hard he could very well be a 1st liner.
