are there any really good ones coming up in the 2004 draft?
Well Cam Barker is physical and has a mean streak, but then again he has just about everything you want in a D-man.
Since you are a Florida fan, you should be excited about the prospect of Barker joining his former teammate Bouwmeester on the blueline.
are there any that will be available in say, the second round, or maybe in the even late first round?. What i think the panthers need to do with their inevitable high draft pick, is to pick a Fast, Highly Skilled Goalscorer. This team has Trouble scoring goals, and i would like to get an Explosive Scorer into the Fold. so i'd like to see some lower rated Physical, Defensive Defenseman, even though i'd love to get Barker.
Mark Fistric from the Vancouver Giants. I have watched him play a lot and he's a big kid and he does have a mean streak. I don't know where he will be drafted but he was rated 13th in the WHL by CSB. He has limited offensive skill and he does make the odd stupid play but he could be a great stay at home defenceman.
I would love for the ducks to draft barker, but it looks like he will be going top 5 so that probably isn't possible. I too would like to know some good defensemen that will be available in the 15-20 range. I know hes not big but Jeff Likens from Wisconson will be a good Defenseman to get in the 2nd-3rd round.
btw does anyone have a link to those CSB rankings??? thanks in advance.
Boris Valabik is a Kitchener Rangers import from Slovakia. 6'6", 209 lbs
In 33 games, he has 8 pts (2g, 6a), +3 and 129 PIM's. He's an OHL rookie, so he's learning the North American game - and coming along nicely. He's a bit of a hothead (obviously), but if learns to control his temper/impulses, he could have pretty good potential.
