Tougher contract for Vancouver but they definitely win in value. It really depends on Philly owners and if they are one of the teams that will reduce spending. Flyers are close to being true contenders. Fans won’t like it of course

You woukd be interested in trading Voracek because hes not very good and on a bad contract. So we need adjust value expectations and dump the waste.

Virtanen and a 1st plus a bomafide 4th line STUD for 2 years with easy option to buyout after 1 year

Nope, I'd be interested in trading Voracek for an overpayment of a return. He's been a solid/very good player ever since he arrived in Philly.

This trade helps us exactly how??? Going from a 2nd round knockout to a missing the playoff team? Trading a top 6 player for 2 bottom 6 players (including one who wouldn't and shouldn't see a minute of ice time here) as well as a potential 1st. No thanks. Horrid return.

2 issues
1) He wouldn't play in our top 9 at this time. If we move Farabee or Lindblom to rw and play on their off side top 9 f's look like

3 of JVR/Laughton/Frost/Farabee

2) IF IF IF Patrick is cleared, he would be 7th ED forward and Flyers would expose Virtanen in a year.

With those factors the best you would get from Flyers would be a late 2. VAN should be able to do better than that on the market.
