If you look at him as a 1st round pick, then he isn`t doing well. But, that is because he shouldn`t have been picked in the first round (I`d assume most Q followers were highly surprised when he went in the first round).
His game is either as a complimentary top 6 winger or as a good bottom 6 winger. He can be an Alex Burrows type if you need some grit on your top 6. He has a great shot, but his passing and creativity are average at best.
Bottom 6, he can be a banger with a heavy shot like a Pascal Dupuis (with more physicality). He is a guy that should be an NHLer no matter what (assuming he keeps working).
