having only bolden and holmes to back up saric and embiid is obviously a situation the sixers aren't going to go into the season with. in free agency i would look at thad young, bringing back ilyasova, and here is an interesting name, nerlens noel.

ersan ilyasova - 24 mins a game for 23 games / trevor booker - 16 mins a game for 33 games
amir johnson - 16 mins a game
richaun holmes - 15 minus a game

holmes can continue to give them 12-16 mins a night. even if bolden can essentially replace the minutes amir johnson played, they still need another big who can play 15-20 minutes that they got out of a combination of booker and ilyasova for most of the season. embiid also isn't the most durable guy so there is little doubt that they will add a big or two before the season starts.

As a casual fan with no understanding of the game of basketball or the history of the 76ers, I'm hyped for the addition of a player with a top 10 name and style. It's something to have a player stand out for their athleticism and do it with flair.

Smith has some insane body awareness. He can make himself available for a dunk or a block with such quickness and creativity. Looks like a cat in his highlight reels. If Embiid picked up Smith by his ankles and dropped him, he might land on his face, but I wouldn't count him out of landing on his feet either.

They already were. We drafted Fultz because we knew Simmons would float around at times at different positions. Nothing has changed.

To the poster that said its a cluster**** in the backcourt...well guard position has been the Sixers biggest weakness since the Process started and at this point the only 2 you can pencil in are TJ and Simmons and Simmons will be switching on bigs on defense.

I'd like to see Ilyasova back he's underrated on the glass and on D and can step out and knock down shots.
I hope they give Holmes and Anderson more run this year they both deserved more minutes than they got.

I actually don't mind trading Bridges for Smith and a 1st. I wasn't that high on Bridges to begin with and don't know why they passed on Porter. And the extra 1st gives them more ammo to go after Leonard.

I like Shamat, because I liked taking upperclassman late in the draft. Could be a decent rotational guard. Milton is nice dart to throw in round 2.

Fultz getting his game back or not is going to be a huge factor for the Sixers season. People forget he was the consensus number 1 overall pick and at the time the right pick for the Sixers. He was/is the combo guard who can beat people off the dribble they need to play with Ben. His fall from grace as quickly as it happened was extremely rare and strange. Chuck knoblauch at one point forgot how to throw a baseball from second to first base. The mental aspect of sports is crazy.

I am officially convinced that, if it means getting his shot back and better than ever, Markelle should not play in SL.

Yes, it's going to look bad and the media will probably shit all over him for it (I can already hear the epically misguided Stephen A rant) but it's necessary. SL will give Zhaire, Shamet, Bolden, etc. plenty of time to shine anyway. It's not like there won't be a reason to tune in.

my opinion has been consistent all along. fultz is not a sure thing right now. if he gets his head right it could be huge for the sixers. that said, for the right deal i would move him. i thought doncic was the best prospect in the draft.

He's going to the Lakers next season.

And besides he's injury prone and he has a shit attitude. I don't trust him to stay healthy and remain elite.

I don't know that he's quite injury prone but I don't like the way that he's handling the situation. Tells you a lot about his character. With the way that he's handled this, if I'm the Spurs, I either leave him on the roster and don't play him or trade him to the absolute worst team in the smallest market making a decent offer. Magic, Hornets, Kings, Grizzlies.

He's completely not only screwed them by giving up on them during the season but by essentially saying he's only willing to sign in LA, completely ruining his trade value.

I don’t know why no one talks about Kemba as a trade taget? Last year of deal, likely wants to win and will move on from CHA next year. We can pay him and give assets to CHA for their rebuild, and likely keep Fultz / Dario. Rumblings before / after draft about a trade to CLE centered around that first rd pick they had. Zaire Smith + future pics, or all future pics, could possibly get it done
