Phil Kessel or Patrik Laine for next season only

it's a kinda tough question, alot of people will disregard the fact that you said only for next year only. i'm personnaly a big fan of Laine and always liked kessel too. Laine will no doubt have a better career but Kessel is still in his prime, it's a question of is laine going to break out this year or not.

My guess is Laine breaks out and if he does he's a better Player than Kessel.

Penguins fan picking Laine. I don't think Kessel will repeat his 90+ point season, which was boosted by a ridiculous amount of PP production, while I think Laine's ready to challenge for 50 goals and a point per game season.

I love me some Kessel.

But I think Laine is going to have a huge year offensively. 50+ goals, 80+ points.

Kessel is coming off a very productive year, and I think he will continue to put up solid numbers, but I don’t know if 90 is in the cards for him again.
