Untrue - Lehner's stats were far more detrimental than team-wide metrics that one would associate with a coach's effect. I believe @Chainshot has the details? I might have the wrong poster though.

My reply was to saying Lehner on the team hurts.

I was pointing out that Housley hurts more because he is still here and Lehner is gone.

I guess we're into semantics now, but replying with "Housley hurts more" to someone who said that having Lehner hurt the team read to me like the direct comparison that I was talking about.

Welllllllll, Housley is the one that made the decision to start Lehner....

I’m curious HOW much Buffalo and the coaching staff knew of his problems. I’m 95% sure Bylsma and staff didn’t, with the reported antics of Dan not having a good relationship with the players.

But even then, I wonder how much Lehner actually told the guys what it was doing to him.

As far as your question ... that’s been answered by a lot of people in this thread. I think he’ll be here at the least .... thru the end of November, probably into December. If they turn it around ... then even longer.

As crappy as we’ve been tonight we came into the game over .500. Which shouldn’t be much of an accomplishment but with what we’ve been for 5+ years it is. So I imagine it would take a prolonged stretch of games like this for Phil to be in trouble.

Of course Rolston didn't belong behind an NHL bench but he had nothing to work with. He had crap and produced crap. Phail Housley has far more to work with and has produced even greater levels of failure and sucktitude. Compare this team to Montreal. Hell, compare this team to f***ing Ottawa. Both look freaking light years ahead of us right now and it's completely f***ing embarrasing. I'm just fed up with this crap.

Pegula has created habit of paying coaches not to coach

Bylsma and Ryan are the only ones still under contract, both until 2020. I would take Bylsma back any day over Housley. I might even take Ryan over Housley. At least the press conferences would be entertaining.
