Can’t believe it’s already time for his second deal. Oof. Hope he gets it going this year.

As a Devils fan I (obviously) hoped Hischier would do better than Patrick, but what he's gone through is just so unfortunate, and now I'm full on board rooting for this guy to bounce back and do great things!

What's the latest with him? Improvement, no improvement, nobody really knows? Hope he gets to play some hockey this year.

Nobody knows for sure but he is scrimmaging with pros in western Canada and I saw one place that he is putting good weeks together. Fletcher said something along the lines of ‘we expect him to play for us next year’. Didn’t say he will be back to start etc.

Lindblom and Patrick for under 4 mill next year could be a steal. Fingers crossed.

Nolan is going to get his career back on track this season and develop into a really solid middle 6 two-way center. I have faith.

He accepted the QO, so he now has a contract. Don't remember the last time I saw a player accept a QO.

Man. When he was drafted I thought for certain he'd be a good to great second line centre. The injuries are really unfortunate.

Here’s to hoping this kid can still make good on his potential. He’s had a tough hand so far.

If he's healthy, he's at worst a quality 3C who displays more than just flashes of top-6 ability.

    He's signed now.

After this year he will still be a RFA for a few more years.

Had to accept this.. doesnt really have any leverage to discuss a different contract at a higher salary

Hopefully he has a successful season health wise

Can someone give a TLDR of what happened to the kid?
