Flyer prospect pool has gotten to the point where it's harder to find one underperforming than overperforming!

Sushko off to a bad start, 12g 2-4 6 -8
Zamula 12g 0-4 4 -2, not quite the next Myers
Bernhardt, benched in the SHL
Twarynski, 4g 0-1 1
O'Brien 4g 0-0 0, obviously a flop
Ginning 9g and Hogberg 10g, yet to have scored a point.

Reaching a little there, but the point is obvious. Other than Tomek, who looks like a lost cause, not many misses in the system.

The top three, Frost, Strome and Ratcliffe are shining, Rubtsov off to a hot start, Wylie a surprise, Myers shrugged off his bad game,

Anyone who expected Zamula to be the next Myers was a bit too optimistic. He can be a very good defense-first 3rd pair defenseman at the NHL level. Tracked one of his games with the hitmen recently and he moved the puck like a madman, attacked rushers in the NZ, and was sound defensively.

Zamula’s team is a clusterf***. It’s encouraging to see the other stats to track defensive work because the points aren’t going to come. So thanks for that

I think it’d be better to wait until next season to get more or a picture of what the upside might be

I don't think we'll have a feel for Zamula for a couple years, physically he's really underdeveloped for a D-man.
The wild card is whether he can fill out, and if so, how does that impact his skating.

More about being on a better team
