Phantoms Youtube channel is awful. Worst highlight package imaginable. No audio and they don't even show the entire goal sequence it's like they show snippits.

Hersey has a pretty legit stream that actually looked like they put effort & money into from what I recall.

Yep when the Phantoms play in Hershey I try and check out their highlights. NHL quality package.

He has great tools... speed, good release and nice hands combined with being a biiig man. Definitely worth a 1st round pick for sure. His ceiling is unquestionably high.

But he was a bit of a reach at the time IMO (~10 slots too high for me)... his U18 WJC where he just dominated was for sure the reason Dallas took him where they did. (he was great last year in MHL tbh too.)


It is worth noting his KHL team this year though was dreadful... and he had a really unsustainably low sh% this year.

He is no lost cause... it is hard to even play in the KHL at his age, let alone produce really. It would not be surprising if he still went on to become a top 6 NHLer down the line...

but selecting him with Connor, Svechnikov, Barzal, White, Boeser & Konecny still on the board seemed a bit bizarre even at the time for me. I had him at #24 on my final rank last year.

They lost 2/3's of their top line so far in Kyle Connor & Tyler Motte. I guess JT Compher would be coming back for his senior at this point since he hasn't signed yet. They lost Boo Nieves & Justin Selman to graduation too as other top six players. Nieves & Compher were/are their top six center's.

They're not slated to bring in any high end freshmen up front for next year's class so he should probably be their second line center next year.
