Why aren't the Hawks giving him a legitimate shot?
He did get a look with talent. And yes, I understand you're being facetious.
You know theres only like five of us that have any idea what the hell you're talking about
The old guard has dwindled.
Mostly because most the people who had to watch Arnason-Bell-Calder as a first line offed themselves.
At least the ABC line offered hope at time (False hope it turned out)
Look back on the defense back then. Dempsey , Poapst , Berard , Quint , Strudwick and then youth that never were all that good in Burke Henry , Jim Vandermeer and Lasse!
I miss your single season GDT (Or did it extend multi years when I joined ,, Cant remember all that well)
Do you old men want me to get you some ginger ale or what?
Yeah, this was ancient history. Four whole years ago.
He didn't get a fair shot either. Played 4 games as a winger when he plays center.
Averaging 39 point in the KHL now.
And he looked decent with Lang if I'm remembering correctly?
Kontiola was lazy and didn't want to put the work in needed to be a successful NHL player.
Lazy point a game average in Rockford for 2 years and 5 assists in 12 Games with the Hawks playing out of position.
Is it sad that when I read his name, I got a smile on my face?
So much nostalgia.
Classic. Remember he went to the Ducks and that was that.
Jeffrey Hamilton was also deserving of more time in the organization.
Lasse Kukkonen was good and should have been kept. Really, Niklas Hjalmarsson is just a slightly better version of him.
That was just what was said when he left NA.
Youngin. Drew LeBlanc reminds me quite a bit of Kontiola. (in terms of his skill, not Konti's unprofessionalism)
Lasse was more Oduya than Hammer, but I'm also surprised he's not bouncing around the league somewhere. He was solid at both ends of the ice.
Can't see what we have in him unless we give him a shot.
Still waiting for Makarov-Toews-Kane
He was too inconsistent to nail down a fulltime job in NHL
After his consistency issues continued in Philly his best bet was to return to Europe for employment
Kontiola had a great WC last year. Just sayin... he draw some attention with this.
Funny to think about it... I see Hendry, Stewart, Lalonde and the great Danny Richmond in the DEL and last year Bell was here too
Separate names with a comma.
