Commitment issues or character issues I imagine. Lots of teams that should have taken him passed so there's some info out there.
I thought it would have been funny to draft the Oshawa kid.
I thought he was a Port Hope kid playing in Belleville. I haven't heard any commitment issues tied to him but I haven't followed any draft this year. Surprising North Bay would take him in the second if he wasn't going to report.

I’m still holding out hope that we could get Chisholm and Kirk or Jones back with everything going on. It would also be good if all the 03 players stepped up.
We won’t be a contender but I’m hoping we won’t be complete trash.
Chisholm is the only one I think could be back kirk is an OA and import probably play in Europe and make money unless he’s not thinking he’s making pro here and wants his last go at North American hockey. Im pretty sure Arizona has till 2021 to sign him

Podcast with Oke about the draft. Oke says right in this podcast that Carson Walters (Chicago mission) has indicated he is coming to camp and looking to earn a full time spot. He also called him one of the most dangerous offensive players in the entire draft. Definitely sounds like somebody they will try to get signed come the fall.
Judging off of those comments I would expect you’ll see all of McCoy, Alfano, DeZoete and Walters on the opening day roster.

i agree excellent draft he is very underated GM...is he not in consideration for GM of the year? Signs 5 picks from last years draft 3 play a regular role on a contending team, creates atmosphere so Robertson has most goals in CHL, swings a deal to land the WJC darling player in Thomas, brings in 2 vet Dmen, team was leading OHL if im not mistaken from most of first half, built up the fan base back to respectability and hired many front office workers leads all to success on and off the ice for this team which i believe puts him in the talk at the very least? Agree? Disagree?
