Played for several different franchises and each one has fans in this short thread talking about what a great human being he is and how much they like him despite a pretty mediocre career results-wise. Seems pretty noteworthy to me.

Was once the Avalanche goalie of the future, and at one time one of the best goalie prospects in the world. Goes to show that these lists mean nothing, but none the less a solid career!

Take care Budaj, he was one of the good NHL’ers and it speaks volume that every team he was on had nothing bad to say about him !

Won 31 of 57 games on that 2007 Avs team which had the most points ever for a team that missed the playoffs. He and Paul Stastny fueled their run from the dead to nearly making the playoffs.

Yet he could never shake off Jose Theodore and Craig Anderson to claim the job full time
