With a season lost and millions of dollars lost in player salary, where does the pension fund sit? Is there a worry there won't be sufficient funds or is it big enough to withstand a year of no one paying into it?

The owners are obliged to make any payments that they were contractually obliged to make to ensure that those eligible receive their benefits. Other than that, I don't really see an issue here.

I thought the players made payments to the pension fund during their careers based on a percentage of their salary.
