New OT thread.
Trick or treat has been dying here for several years now in favor of Halloween parties. I think COVID will finally kill it this year.
The neighborhood I grew up in still had a pretty good turnout in the last few years. No one that I know is giving out candy this year.
Many would drop their kids off in my neighborhood . We probably have 30 kids in the whole block but often have up to 300 trick or treaters. It is a safe neighborhood so people bring the kids from everywhere.
I am not doing trick or treat this year. I usually carve a jack-o-lantern but don't think I will. ALl holidays are a no go for me this year.
My Halloweens consist of watching as many horror films marathon from the 80's and 90's on TV as possible. AMC has had quite a few
What 6 u got @LouJersey ?
I assume a beretta and a Glock are 2/6
I'm not great with names....glock I know for sure...ar-15...would have to ask..
Death Rates Have Dropped for Seriously Ill Covid Patients
finally some better news.
awesome man, great job,
Hey, guys! Whoa, Big Gulps, huh? Alright... Welp, see ya later!
So does Turner Classic Movies.
He prolly has a Glock and Berretta since those are issued to PDs. Id have to look up the specific department tho. I’m trying to get my 3rd hand gun soon. May sell my AR since it’s been broken for a year and I been too lazy to fix it.
What cal are you looking for? I love my S&W MP Shield .40. Will take out a cougar if necessary, which was why I got it. Its my carry piece when hiking.
My CZ and Glock are both .9 used to have a S&W
.40 but sold it cuz kick back is a bitch. Looking at a Berretta, FN or another Glock next. I carry hollow points.
I'm not a fan of Halloween. Never been into the horror genre. There's enough scary crap in the real world.
Never turned down free candy though.
We love Halloween. Generally watch a scary movie per night for a couple weeks before (Original Prom Night) was last night...brings back a lot of memories from growing up.
Can't wait for Saturday. Neighborhood is usually pretty busy - kids love it. All around great night every year.
I'm with you @Ladyfan , holidays come & go this year. My sister is going to deliver Thanksgiving to the normal crew the morning of (good for her); that's what we did for Easter too. I think we did a small get together for the 4th because outside was an option. Birthdays went by with just a text. Christmas is going to be the weird one since we used to do that 'big' even with just our small family. I suspect we might roll the dice for that one as long as well all keep our circles tight leading into it, and get tested beforehand.
I got too many olds in my close family that I need around for a few more years so I'm ok just skipping 2020 and forgetting about it once we're past this.
My family consists of my daughter in Calif. whom I haven't seen since Christmas and I am sad
My older sis who lives in Western MA. and will not travel or allow anyone in her house.
My younger sis (GahdenRinkRat) who lives in Boston and has invited me for Thanksgiving but the place I work has had 12 positive tests of COVID19 so I won't go.
I have just considered 2020 a loss.
I love seeing the little ones . I am not doing it this year. Also in memory of my Mom I always carve a Jack-o-lantern but may not as I haven't found a good pumpkin and my heart isn't into it.
I am in a funk.
yeah never been really much of a Halloween guy but it`s likely because I was playing competitive hockey and it was a rarity I had the night off to Trick or Treat, even when I got older, I didn`t dress up and hit the bars in a costume, just wasn`t my thing but I always found it fun observing others in costume.
while we on the Island have not been hit nearly as hard as some parts of the country, we have still had restrictions put in place after recent surges and IMO, think it should be more aggressive but that`s just me, here`s the latest from Vancouver Island/BC
